A Florida man is facing charges for allegedly firing a gun toward passing motorists and a neighboring property over the weekend, authorities said.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said deputies responded at around 6:45 p.m. Sunday to the 18700 block of NW 53rd Court Road in Orange Lake for a report of someone shooting near the road. When they arrived, they were told that 50-year-old Ryan Blumhardt fired multiple rounds from a rifle, aiming across NW 53rd Court Road toward a neighbor’s property as cars were driving past.
Deputies interviewed the driver and passenger in a vehicle who reported they saw Blumhardt aiming a rifle across the road as they approached. They said Blumhardt never lowered the rifle and fired a shot just after they passed, causing them to “fear for their lives,” the sheriff’s office said…
