Rochester’s L3Harris has a connection to the upcoming Artemis II launch

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — NASA’s Artemis II is set to launch four astronauts to the moon for the first time in more than 50 years.

News10NBC’s Garrett Chan spoke with a company with Rochester ties that played a role in this historic mission. L3Harris contributes more than 100 mission-critical pieces from launch to landing.

In California and Florida, the company builds the propulsion systems that launch the rocket and guide the spacecraft through deep space. In Rochester, it’s a smaller piece of tech that plays just as large a role to the mission’s success…
