SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A man accused of shooting a woman, leaving her with non-life-threatening injuries, in January at the intersection of Whitaker Street and W. State Street was indicted Wednesday.

Kevin Smith Jimenez Morales, 21, is accused of shooting a woman with an assault rifle-style pistol on Jan. 11, according to court records.
WSAV previously reported that the shooting occurred around 3:06 a.m., and Jimenez Morales was arrested after Savannah Police spoke to witnesses at the scene and made a traffic stop.
Jimenez Morales was indicted on charges of aggravated assault, with one of the five counts including family violence. Court records show that while Jimenez Morales and the victim were not siblings, they had previously lived in the same household.
Jimenez Morales was also indicted on a count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and reckless driving, where he allegedly was traveling at a speed over 90 mph, according to the indictment…
