Goose entangled in plastic 6-pack ring at Staten Island park: What to do if you see a wild animal in distress

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A goose was recently spotted at Willowbrook Park with a plastic six-pack ring stuck around its head, mouth, and throat.

Swimming amid other geese and ducks in the park, the distressed goose could be seen by passersby. The pictures, taken by Jeff Maira, appear to show the goose with part of the plastic going into its mouth, around its eye, and encircling its throat.

These images were sent to the Advance/SILive.com just weeks after a similar incident occurred near the Staten Island Mall in New Springville…
