Leon County Sheriff’s Office opens first chapel at detention facility for inmates

LEON COUNTY, Fla. — In a move aimed at strengthening inmate reentry efforts, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, April 2, unveiled the ALL IN Ministries Chapel at the Leon County Detention Facility — the first-ever chapel for inmates at the jail.

The chapel is designed as a multi-faith space for worship and reflection. Faith-based organizations are invited to lead ongoing programming there, part of the sheriff’s office’s broader focus on reentry and long-term public safety.

The project was built entirely through community support, including donations, partnerships and hands-on contributions from Leon County Sheriff’s Office staff.
