Day care workers accused of assaulting 3-year-old, including in incident caught on video

LELAND, N.C. (WKRC) — Two day care workers in North Carolina are being investigated after they allegedly assaulted a 3-year-old boy.

Leslie Hough told WECT that the teachers, who work for Childcare Network in Leland, had assaulted her son in two separate incidents. One teacher was suspended for allegedly spraying a bottle of soapy water into the child’s mouth; the other had reportedly trapped the boy in a closet and kept him in there until he stopped crying.
