State pension increase bill passes House, heads to Senate

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A bill that would provide a cost-of-living adjustment to state retirees passed the House 93-2 and now heads to the Senate.

House Bill 23 by Rep. Tony Bacala would give state retirees over 60 a 2% increase on the first $81,000 they receive from their pension every year.
