Former Lincoln teacher accused of inappropriately touching four students enters plea

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A former Lincoln Public Schools teacher accused of inappropriately touching multiple students entered a plea Thursday.

Daniel Holmberg, 62, of Lincoln, pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual abuse by a school employee, including two second-degree charges and two third-degree charges.

His next court date has not been set.

On Dec. 2, Lincoln Police were called to Northeast High School after a report of sexual abuse by a school employee. According to the arrest affidavit, LPS employees interviewed Holmberg, and he reportedly admitted to inappropriately touching students but said his intentions were not sexual…
