Lincoln Parks and Recreation has announced several free events and activities to celebrate the United States’ semiquincentennial (250th) anniversary.
Director Maggie Stuckey-Ross says activities are for residents of all ages and will be available throughout the year. “We hope you’ll join us in making this anniversary meaningful and reminding us that, though we come from many stories, we are united as one nation,” she said in a statement.
The events and activities are as follows:
No Cost Open Shelter Reservations – July 1 through 5
No cost reservation of the open picnic shelters located in parks will be available July 1 through 5. Reservations may be made beginning at 10 a.m. April 3. There is a limit of two reservations per day per location and a limit of one reservation per person during this event timeframe…
