Fentanyl trafficker sentenced to decade in prison in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – A Portland man was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for his role in an interstate drug trafficking operation.

Luis Garcia Zurita, 38, will also serve five years of supervised release after his prison term. According to court documents, Garcia Zurita worked as both an interstate drug transporter and local distributor for a Mexico-based drug trafficking organization operating in Portland.
