CANTON ‒ A 15-year-old who fatally shot his 12-year-old brother on Jan. 9 will spend at least a year in the custody of the Ohio Department of Youth Services.
Amir P. Lucas was sentenced after pleading “true” April 2 in Stark County Family Court to a charge of being delinquent by reason of reckless homicide in connection with the accidental shooting death of Thomas J. Lucas III in northeast Canton. The Stark County Prosecutor’s Office dropped a charge of improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or school, along with gun specifications that were attached to both charges.
