Schenectady, NY (WRGB) — A Schenectady man who pleaded guilty to murder in the death of his 5-year-old daughter was sentenced to 27 years to life in prison.
On January 23, 2026, 35-year-old Robert Buskey Jr. of Schenectady, entered guilty pleas in Schenectady County Court to Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance to a Child before Judge Matthew J. Sypniewski.
Under the plea agreement, Buskey will receive the maximum sentence allowed by law, 25 years to life for the murder conviction, plus an additional two years for the drug charge, for a total sentence of 27 years to life…
