Injured Riverfront Live shooting suspect wants released from jail

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The suspect in the shooting at Riverfront Live, who was also shot, is trying to get out of jail due to his injuries.

In a motion filed in federal court on March 25, Derrick Long’s attorney, Clyde Bennett, said that Long isn’t getting his medication, is suffering from infections and is not getting proper care in the Butler County Jail. He’s been in the jail since he was released from the hospital on March 19.

“Mr. Long is in dire need of emergency medical attention . Continued failure to treat Mr. Long will result in serious injury or death,” said the motion filed by Bennett…
