Urban League event centered on African American advancement

The Southwestern Michigan Urban League hosted an event focused on advancing the African American community on March 28.

The event, titled “From State to Strategy: Advancing the African American Community Forward,” featured food, entertainment and a fireside chat, according to a community announcement. Panelists represented key sectors, including workforce development, mental health, economic development, housing, black male engagement and education.
