When millions of people around the world take to the streets to protest one man and his complicit cabinet, it’s a sign that the people want change.
The No Kings 3 rallies on March 28 were a huge success by almost every metric. Approximately 1,200 supporters attended our Pottsy Field rally, thanks to the collective efforts of Indivisible Island, Islanders for Democracy, and the Democratic Committees of Jamestown, Middletown and Portsmouth. Many supporters then boarded buses to attend the march and speeches at the state house in Providence.
The reasons for attending were almost as diverse as the people lining the streets: steady erosion of our democratic bedrocks, government (presidential) overreach with no accountability, war crimes, the Epstein files, our ongoing climate crisis, the kidnapping of our cherished community members by ICE, voter suppression, and soaring costs on everything from gas to groceries…
