Shortly after 4:30 PM on Wednesday, first responders were dispatched to a residence near Wildwood Avenue and Laurel Brook Drive following reports of a male suffering from a stab wound to the neck, with the weapon, a knife, still lodged in place with substantial bleeding present.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital; their condition remains unknown at this time. The suspect, identified as Jason Luis Delvalle, 43, of Worcester was taken into custody on scene. He is being charged with Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Armed Assault to Murder. Delvalle is expected to be arraigned on Thursday morning.
The Worcester Police Department requested its Crime Scene Unit (CSU) to process and document the scene.
