Chick Lit Patrons Popped Corks And Shopped At Highland Park Village’s Veronica Beard

With Community Partners Of Dallas‘ 20th Chick Lit Luncheon just a little over a month away, 2026 Chick Lit Luncheon Co-Chairs Brooke Bailey and Elizabeth Dacus and Honorary Chair Leigh Anne Haugh celebrated the patrons that included sponsors, friends and longtime supporters. They included CPD Board Chair Sally Dutter, Hollee Hirzel, Jennifer Tobin, Katy Cecere, Stephanie Stollenwerck, Heather Hicks, Lauren Hicks, Susan Dutter, Francie Mancillas, Heather Lockhart, Barrell Jones, Nina Threets and Katie Robbins. Taking place on Wednesday, February 25, at Highland Park Village’s Veronica Beard, the event also featured champagne and wine, plus news about the fundraiser’s raffle packages. Chick Lit Luncheon Co-Chairs Brooke Bailey and Elizabeth Dacus, along with honorary chair Leigh Anne Haugh, were joined by nearly 30 sponsors and supporters for a celebration in their honor on Wednesday, February 25, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

With Highland Park Village’s Veronica Beard General Manager Taylor Burnett greeting guests including Lillian Cloud, Sandy Moore and CPD Development VP Samantha Eppler, partygoers arrived and enjoyed champagne and wine while shopping the store’s stunning spring collections, with 15% of the evening’s proceeds benefiting Community Partners of Dallas.

Attendees were the first to have a chance to purchase raffle tickets for chances to win fabulous prizes at the March 27 luncheon, including a Dolce And Gabbana logo flap leather shoulder bag courtesy of Neiman Marcus; two business class round-trip tickets from Dallas to Paris with Air France; two first class, round trip tickets from Delta Air Lines; a $3,500 Eiseman Jewels gift card and personal concierge shopping experience; a $2,000 gift card for design and organization services from The Container Store, including custom space components and completion products; and a Dallas Mavs night in the Hilti American Airlines suite with 12 tickets and four parking passes.

Mid-way through the festivities, CPD president and CEO Joanna Clarke gathered the crowd to thank everyone in attendance for their support of this year’s Chick Lit Luncheon, presented by Lara and Dr. Robert Tafel, which will feature award-winning actress, producer and New York Times bestselling author Lauren Graham
