Sun City Lights project to brighten El Paso park

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso City Council announced April 1 that a construction contract has been put in place for the Sun City Lights project at Pueblo Viejo Park, located at 233 North Zaragoza Road.

Sun City Lights is an initiative designed to create vibrant destinations and interactive public spaces across the community.

Officials from the Capital Improvement Department stated that the program aims to transform public areas into engaging illuminated environments that encourage community connection, enhance neighborhoods, and support economic development.

“This project represents an important investment in Pueblo Viejo Park and in the families who use it every day,” said District 7 City Representative Lily Limón. “By enhancing this space with decorative lighting and improved amenities, we are creating a more inviting environment that brings people together and adds value to the surrounding neighborhood.”
