Texas Tech’s Urbanovsky Amphitheater turned into something more than a meeting place Tuesday night — it became a convergence of voices, stories and belief at Easter on the Lawn.
Local churches, including Redeemer Church, The Way, Turning Point Community and other college ministries, came together for a second year to encourage students to celebrate Easter together.
Preslie Toombs, a fourth-year restaurant, hotel and institutional management major from Frisco, said the event gave her the ability to worship through being reminded of what Easter is all about and listening to her peers’ testimonies…
