WASHINGTON — An 18-year-old D.C. man lured two people into a home on Webster Street, attacked them and stole their cars, according to an indictment unsealed Thursday. The 13-count indictment charges Dequan Simpson for the two alleged carjackings and a shooting last month.
According to court documents, on March 4, shortly after noon, a pizza delivery driver was allegedly lured to a home in the unit block of Webster Street NE. Instead of a routine food delivery, the delivery driver was robbed, assaulted, held at gunpoint and carjacked of his 2014 Toyota Corolla.
Two days later, on March 6, a freelance barber was also lured to the same Webster Street home after someone requested a haircut. When the barber got to the home, he was robbed and shot multiple times as he tried to run away. The gunman took the barber’s black 2009 Infiniti G37X.
