Beginning Monday, April 13, 2026, Middleton Road will be closed between Karcher Road and Flamingo Avenue for a roadway widening project. The closure is anticipated to last through the summer. This project is being managed by the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council.
Improvements include widening the roadway to five lanes with a center two-way left turn lane, enhanced pedestrian facilities, and lighting and drainage upgrades. The existing bridge over the Elijah Drain will be replaced to accommodate the widened roadway.
In late summer 2026, the intersection of Middleton Road and Flamingo Road will be closed for repaving. Additional information, including the timing of the closure, will be shared as construction progresses…
