BOISE, Idaho — In an effort to improve accessibility and keep a vehicle-free area, 8th Street is receiving a second phase of construction improvements, the City of Boise announced.
Construction on the second phase of upgrades is set to begin in early May. Officials said work is expected to be completed by the end of November in downtown Boise.
“For years, residents, visitors and businesses have enjoyed a car-free 8th Street, allowing for more people to move freely and safely through downtown Boise,” Mayor Lauren McLean said in a news release. “These upgrades will strengthen 8th Street as a more accessible, walkable, and vibrant part of our downtown core.”…
