Utah physician indicted for selling misbranded drugs from China

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — A federal grand jury has indicted a Utah physician for allegedly distributing misbranded drugs from China to unsuspecting patients.

Justin Bradley Watkins, a 39-year-old from Pleasant View, Utah, is accused of obtaining non-FDA-approved peptides through a middleman between February 2024 and April 2025, according to court documents. The drugs included Tirzepatide, Semaglutide, Retatrutide, Cagrilinitide, BPC-157, TB500, Ipamorelin, CJC 1295, GHK, GHK-CU, and NAD+. Watkins allegedly purchased these peptides at discounted prices, aware they lacked proper testing and clinical trials.
