SCHENECTADY, NY. – A Schenectady man was severely burned in a fire at a home.
Firefighters responded to 1668 Foster Ave. on Thursday afternoon. Schenectady Fire Chief George Burns said the fire was caused by the resident using 10 gallons of a highly volatile chemical solvent in the basement without proper ventilation.
