CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The eighth person involved in a corruption case that has already led to several former North Charleston council members entering guilty pleas, was sentenced in a Charleston courthouse Friday.
Hason “Tory” Fields, 51, was sentenced to 12 months and 1 day after pleading guilty on Aug. 5 to one count of bribery, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit both bribery and wire fraud, according to court documents. In court, it was revealed that he was bribed $450.
