SC man charged with lottery fraud after trying to cash in off stolen tickets

A Columbia man was arrested for attempting to pass stolen scratch-off tickets for a payout, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

Omarion Xavier Elmore, 20, was charged with intent to defraud with counterfeit game tickets on March 13, 2026, according to a news release.

An investigation revealed that around the same day Elmore stole multiple scratch-off tickets — Feb. 26 — from Murphy Express, located at 2350 Broad River Road, the 20-year-old tried to cash in the tickets at Right Way Market, an arrest warrant said…
