FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A popular boutique-style thrift store inside Glenbrook Square Mall will soon close its doors, but leaders with The Lighthouse say the change is part of a broader plan to strengthen their mission across Fort Wayne.
The nonprofit announced it is shutting down its mall-based thrift location after about nine months in operation, citing insufficient foot traffic despite strong community support and interest. The store served as a boutique-style extension of the organization’s larger thrift operation on Lima Road and helped fund several outreach programs, including a food bank, prison outreach efforts, and a men’s residential addiction recovery program.
