CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. — A child is dead after being hit by a pickup truck at a mobile home park near Cedar Springs Friday afternoon, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened at Northland Estates Mobile Home Park around 4 p.m., the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies and Michigan State Police troopers said they quickly responded and tried to save the severely injured child, but they died at the scene.
