Local church trying to raise $180K after ‘devastating’ break-in: ‘In urgent need of help’

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — Bethel A.M.E. Church has been a “cornerstone” for the Harrisburg community for generations, and now the congregation finds itself in “urgent need of help” after a break-in this week, according to a GoFundMe.

The pastor at Bethel African American Episcopal Church said the church was “ransacked” and is now looking to God for a miracle to help keep their doors open this Easter.
