Norfolk man sentenced for felony eluding and credit card theft

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Rasheen Antonio Sutton, 29, was sentenced on March 12 to serve three years in prison for a 2024 incident involving a stolen vehicle and credit card theft. Sutton pleaded guilty to felony eluding, felony credit card theft, and felony receipt of a stolen vehicle.

The conviction followed an investigation that utilized Flock license-plate reading cameras to track a stolen Chrysler Pacifica. Sutton led police on a high-speed pursuit before crashing the vehicle in the Calvert Square area and attempting to flee on foot with stolen credit cards in his possession, according to a release from the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
