Maersk is adding another piece to its U.S. logistics network, signing a lease for more than 233,000 square feet at a major industrial site in northern New Jersey.
The company will open a ground freight hub in Linden, according to a news release from the building’s ownership group. The facility will handle full-truckload and less-than-truckload freight and connect warehouse operations to inland delivery networks across the U.S.
The site sits just east of the New Jersey Turnpike and close to Port Newark-Elizabeth, placing it near one of the country’s busiest shipping terminals.
