Southern California — A young child is recovering after being bitten twice by a coyote outside their home, prompting wildlife officials to intensify efforts to locate the animal.
Child Suffers Minor Injuries in Early Morning Attack
According to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the incident occurred around 8:50 a.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Moorehaven Drive. Family members were unloading their vehicle when the coyote approached and attacked the 3-year-old child.
The child sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials confirmed the injuries were not life-threatening.
DNA Links Coyote to Previous Incident
