ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The court-appointed effort to help recover money in the Katherine Mott-Formicola fraud case is now facing fresh criticism, this time from the very bank that sued her.
Five Star Bank is asking a federal judge to block more than $40,000 in additional payments requested by the court-appointed receiver and the receiver’s attorney, arguing the process has become too expensive and failed to do what it was supposed to do: find the missing money.
