Brockport man arrested after threat targeting Palmyra-Macedon schools

Police say a social media threat involving a firearm image prompted a rapid response and arrest after it was linked to a former student who had been on campus.

Douglas R. Adams, 18, of Brockport, was charged following an investigation into a post depicting a gun pointed toward the front of Palmyra-Macedon High School along with a threatening message, according to the Palmyra Police Department.

Authorities said the department was alerted to the post on March 31 and immediately worked with school administrators to activate the district’s emergency safety plan. Adams was quickly identified and later taken into custody in Monroe County after a warrant was issued…
