Bomb threat prompts Amarillo airport lockdown, diverted flights

The Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport was placed on lockdown Thursday evening, April 2, while Amarillo and airport authorities investigated a possible bomb threat, but no device was found.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, about 7:04 p.m. Thursday, an anonymous caller reported dropping off an individual allegedly carrying a backpack with a possible explosive device.
