A Katy mom died on the scene of what authorities are describing as a road rage incident. The victim was armed and had exited her vehicle where two children and a dog were unharmed inside.
A mother was shot and killed in front of her two young children and dog in Katy. The incident, which is being described as “tragic and bizarre,” occurred yesterday, April 1, 2026. The events took place in the 6700 block of Rusty Ridge Lane. That is near North Fry Road and Arbor Creek Drive. This is the part of Katy that is just outside of the Katy ISD jurisdiction.
