Plano, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol (HP) Division and the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) will partner on a distracted driving joint initiative in an effort to prevent crashes on NTTA toll roads.
Part of the initiative includes NTTA representatives and DPS’s Safety Education Service providing educational outreach on the dangers of texting, eating, and other distracted behaviors while driving. The outreach initiative will utilize social media messaging, community engagement, and on-site awareness events to reinforce safe driving.
