17-year-old moved to Lubbock dies after Clovis shooting

CLOVIS, New Mexico — The Clovis Police Department have released an update on the 17-year-old that was transported to a Lubbock area hospital. CPD revealed that the victim, identified as Massahea Wesley, has been confirmed deceased following her injuries.

The CPD Major Crimes Unit’s investigation led to the arrests of Kaleb Moreno-Ponce, 19, and Enrique Padilla, 18, for the murder of 21-year-old Lyrasha Haskins. The District Attorney’s office is aware of Wesley’s death. Criminal charges against Moreno-Ponce and Padilla and an addition charge of Murder will be levied upon them.
