A 19-year-old Maize woman was hospitalized Friday morning after a semi rear-ended a Mini Cooper on I-135 in north Wichita.
The semi was following the Mini Cooper on the highway near 37th Street North when it struck the car from behind, a Kansas Highway Patrol crash report says. The impact caused the Mini Cooper to crash into another car in front of it.
Emergency scanner traffic indicates the collision happened on I-135 near a construction zone. The Maize teen asked to be checked out for a possible head injury, scanner traffic indicates. She was taken to Wesley Medical Center with suspected minor injuries, the KHP crash report says…
