DENVER — The eight-year senior pastor at one of Denver’s oldest and most recognizable downtown churches, Trinity United Methodist Church, says he will soon leave his post.
The presiding bishop said his departure is part of a normal transition, but Pastor Ken Brown told 9NEWS Investigates his appointment to Trinity, particularly in recent years, has been marked by harassment and a toxic work environment.
“It’s been incredibly painful,” Brown said during his first public comments on the matter. “To be in a situation where you’ve given your life to service – to do good, to do no harm and to stay in love with God – and to have that compromised by institutional failure has brought me a great deal of distress and disappointment.”…
