4 finalists selected for new Springfield Utility Board general manager

With the help of a recruitment firm, Springfield Utility Board has chosen four finalists in its search for the utility’s next general manager, SUB said in a press release Thursday, April 2.

Current General Manager Jeff Nelson announced last year he would retire June 30 after 14 years in the role.

SUB’s general manager reports to an elected five-member board and is “responsible for carrying out chief executive officer responsibilities to ensure the effective, overall management and operation of a customer-owned water and electric utility,” according to the position summary…
