RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The woman who was injured when a Sparks firefighter used a leg sweep on her in a confrontation over her feeding of cats behind a fire station has died.
Maureen Hvegholm settled with the City of Sparks in October of last year for $1 million to resolve a lawsuit alleging that firefighter Timoth Egan had used a leg sweep motion to take her down in 2022, injuring her in the process.
