New: Allentown’s Got a New Ramen Spot… and the Portions Are Wild

If you’ve walked past 23 Allen St. lately, you’ve probably felt the magnetic pull of a new spot hitting its stride. Or maybe that’s just the smell of frying garlic… The new JBC Rice Noodles & Ramen opened there several weeks ago, and the second Buffalo location of the East Asian restaurant leans into Allentown’s quirky vibe.

ICYMI, JBC offers classic Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and other dishes, all on the same menu. Want a spicy beef Szechuan soup ($16.75) and Takoyaki octopus balls ($7.59), but the “kids” in your group want chicken fried rice ($15.79)? No problem-o. The first location on Delaware Avenue in North Buffalo is primarily a takeout spot. Success there led to the creation of the sit-down spot in Allentown with its own unique character.

“Right now, the menu is pretty similar to the one on Delaware, but we do intend to add menu specials and things like that,” says general manager Summer Adams…
