Upstate woman wins $200K after buying 1st Powerball ticket after husband’s death

PIEDMONT, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Education Lottery reports an Upstate woman, who had not bought a Powerball ticket since her husband’s death, won $200,000.

Her husband played Powerball until he passed away. She had not bought a ticket since then until she stopped at the Stop-A-Minit store on South Piedmont Highway in Piedmont, lottery officials said.
