Louisville fire displaces family of four in Parkland; arson unit investigates

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville firefighters responded to a house fire in the Parkland neighborhood Friday evening that spread to a neighboring home.

Crews were dispatched around 6:40 p.m. to the 2600 block of Virginia Avenue and arrived within minutes to find heavy flames coming from the house. The fire quickly extended to a home next door on the east side, prompting an aggressive response.

Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and had it under control by about 7:23 p.m. No civilians or firefighters were injured…
