Man taken into custody after standoff at Collier County apartment

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Collier County deputies have taken a man into custody after a standoff was safely resolved at the Lago Apartments at the intersection of Radio Road and Livingston Road, after they said they received a report of the man making threats.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Peter Hooker, 60, is facing charges of written threats to kill, do bodily injury or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism.

At 9:25 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to the apartment complex to investigate the reports that Hooker was accused of making written threats of violence. Hooker reportedly lives there…
