ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A St. Petersburg man is facing the possibility of spending the rest of his life behind bars following a federal investigation into drug trafficking and a near-fatal overdose of a young child.

U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the charges against 31-year-old Rayshawn Smith this week, detailing a string of crimes that range from selling narcotics to illegally possessing firearms as a convicted felon.
