CROSS LAKE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Flooding concerns are rising again along Cross Lake and a homeowner believes the cause starts miles away.
Jayne Middleton bought land in the area in 2020, built her home and has been living there full time since 2023. On Tuesday, she woke up to a good chunk of her property underwater.
“The first probably 100 to 150 feet of our property is on the lower part that is in a flood zone. So if that floods, that’s understandable. But, it should not be two acres up into the yard,” said Middleton…
