A proposed development in Pender County recently resurfaced with new plans, and it’s bigger than before. If approved, it will bring another residential community to one of the county’s most rapidly densifying areas.
The development, called Point South, is located in Scotts Hill, just over the New Hanover-Pender County border. The parcel is directly adjacent to Blake Farm, an ongoing project set to bring over 2,700 homes to Pender County.
Point South is smaller in comparison to Blake Farm, but the most recent plans submitted to the county show that the scope is growing. The original plans, proposed in March 2025, were for 180 homes. The most recent plans have more than doubled this amount, bringing the total unit count up to 433…
