A Worcester man accused of fatally stabbing his 66-year-old roommate early Thursday morning is now facing a murder charge, court records show.
Jeramy Berthiaume was initially charged with one count each of armed assault with intent to rob or murder a person over 60 and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60. He now faces a murder charge filed on Friday.
He was arraigned on the charges in Worcester District Court on Thursday, where a judge ordered him held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. Berthiaume is set to be arraigned on the murder charge April 7. He has pleaded not guilty…
